①Wisteria, the key to “DEMON SLAYER”, is really poisonous!

Wisteria is a very special plant in “DEMON SLAYER”.

Wisteria incense was used to ward off demons in the area where the rock Hashira Gyo Mei used to live, and Shinobu defeated demons with the poison of wisteria flowers.

However, many people think that wisteria, with its beautiful, lush clusters of flowers and sweet scent in spring, is poisonous in Japan.

But it turns out that wisteria flowers are poisonous to humans.

②The relationship between demons and wisteria in the work

First of all, let’s review the scenes where wisteria poison is used in “DEMON SLAYER”.

The reason for this is that wisteria is pronounced “fuji” in Japanese.

Words with the same　Japanese pronunciation of aaa include “immortality” and “unparallelled,” and wisteria has been thought to be a flower of good luck.

　The wisteria flower clusters are also considered to be a symbol of prosperity of descendants, and for these reasons, it was believed to have the power to ward off evil spirits and other bad things that could harm humans.
